INEC no longer keeping sensitive election materials at CBN

The chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmood Yakubu, said critical elections were no longer held in the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Mahmood said that since the election of the Ekiti Regional Governor, INEC will not keep its critical issues with the CBN.

The INEC chairperson, who made the remarks in response to questions at the ongoing Abuja by-elections, added that the decision was to ensure that the electoral election was not disrupted.
