The President, Major Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) Will address the nation via live broadcast at 7:00 a.m. Sunday.
The Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, made the announcement on Thursday morning as he provided details of this year’s celebration.
He said the broadcast would focus on the celebration of Democracy Day on June 12, 2022.
The minister listed some of the activities planned for the Democracy celebrations, including a public address at the National Mosque on Friday and prayers for Jumat on the same day and at the same venue.
According to him, this will be followed by a speech by the President and a church service at the National Christian Center at 3pm on Sunday.
There will also be a Democracy Day rally at Eagle Square in Abuja on Monday morning.
