Police in Lagos have detained a 21-year-old mechanic named Monday Nnime for allegedly killing his brother with a knife.
After the killing of John Okoh, 28, he was captured by agents working for the Denton Police Division, Ebute Meta, on September 7.
Nnime was detained for reportedly using a broken bottle to stab the deceased in the neck during an altercation over N1,500 at their place of employment on Sam Freeman Road.
It was learned that a client had handed Okoh N1,500 after hiring him to fix his car, but the suspect demanded an equal split of the money.
Police spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin verified the event and said his brother was taken to the Federal Medical Centre in Ebute Meta lagos for treatment but was later pronounced dead by the attending physician.
