Yemi Osinbajo Campaign Organization senior campaigner Richard Akinnola congratulated former Lagos Regional Governor Bola Tinubu on his early leadership and “presumed victory” at the first All Progressives Congress presidential conference.
So far, he has received more than 890 votes to lead his closest rivals, Rotimi Amaechi and Yemi Osinbajo.
Amaechi received 175 votes and Osibanjo 126.
On her Facebook page on Wednesday morning, Akinnola said that although it looked like Tinubu would come out victorious at the end of the exercise, she was proud of her support for the vice president.
He wrote, “Congratulations, Asiwaju Tinubu, who is thought to have won primaries. In any competition, there must be a winner. However, I am very proud of my choice to support the person of Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
“I have no regrets about my support. It has been a privilege to play an important role for him during the process.
“I would love to do it over and over again. It is a matter of belief. And to all our supporters and other volunteers who have worked tirelessly, day and night on the PYO project, God bless you all.
I’m proud of you all. As I often say, God rules over human affairs and has a purpose for what has just happened.
Understandably, many of you are depressed and depressed but do not let your hearts be troubled. There must be a reason why God permits this.
“It may not appear to us now but later as He knows everything. I am not surprised, I do not bow down and I AM VERY PROUD of PYO. Our supporters, abeg, make you motionless. No one dies 😂Life goes on. Not for them. “
