Adamawa police unit has arrested seven suspects in connection with the brutal murder and arson of one Zira Gree 74years, a resident of Gelegu in the Michika area.

A statement from state police spokesman SP Suleiman Nguroje identified the suspects as Tumba Dalle 68yrs, Mary Kwoji 45 yrs, Deliver Tumba 28yrs, Okoko Sini 28yrs, Esther Kwatri ’34yrs, Usa Okoko 20yrs and Husenii. 22-year-old Kwoji, all over Kopale, Michika local government district.
A police spokesman said the suspects on April 29 conspired, put him to sleep on the road, then killed the victim and then burned his body in an unknown manner.
Investigations have so far revealed that the suspects previously suspected that the victim was the victim of the death of his elderly father, Koji Sini, who died on April 17 at General Hospital Michika after a long illness.
Angered by the death of his father, which was allegedly caused by the victim through witchcraft, they decided to take legal action by killing and burning a 74-year-old man.
The suspects were arrested by Michika Divisional police headquarters following a report they received from family members of the deceased.
