The body of a bus driver known as Wasiu was left in Lagos Park after he was killed by a colleague in the Berger area of Lagos.
The deceased, whose name is only Wasiu, was reportedly dumped near the park gate.
Wasiu, who was traveling on the Ishaga-Fagba route, had an altercation with a colleague from another park on Sunday, June 19, and this led to a fight between them, reports Punch.
An eyewitness told the letter: “Wasiu had an argument with someone in the park and went to pick up a bottle.
When the boy’s father, Ikman, was told, he had gathered his colleagues and attacked Wasiu until he fainted.
A source told the newspaper: “Ikman was a great friend of Wasiu. He also drove a bus to Berger-Obalende. Wasiu would not have died, but Ikman left him unconscious on the ground after the attack without trying to kill him. Revive him.”
After Wasiu’s death, other transport officials at the bus park, believed to be friends of the deceased, objected to the decision to leave the body in the park, as one of them said it was an attempt to incriminate them.
However, Ojodu police arrived at the scene to calm the situation.
